What would you request for your last meal? Sitting on death row, these inmates knew the day and hour of their death, and carefully chose the final morsel of food that would enter their mouths.
While some of these requests are pretty bizarre, others are just plain over the top. One prisoner's request was so extravagant that it prompted the state of Texas to stop granting last meal requests. Regardless of what you'd order as your final meal, it's unlikely that you'd ask for anything as strange (or super-sized) as these prisoners did. These are The Craziest Last Meal Requests.

Year Executed: 2002
Those on death row tend to lose their appetite when approaching their execution date. Aileen Wuornos must not have been very hungry when she asked for a single cup of coffee before her execution by lethal injection.

It could be that Phillip Workman's time on death row prompted his desire to help others; Workman's last meal request was that a vegetarian pizza be donated a homeless person in Nashville. While the prison denied his request, several homeless shelters in the area received pizzas in response to Workman's request.
Steak, Fried Chicken, Cherry Kool-Aid, and Pecan Pie

The elements of Ricky Ray Rector's meal are not uncommon with that of other inmates before and after him, but his plan for his pecan pie was a little bizarre. With an attempted suicide attempt leaving him brain damaged, he failed to consume his slice of pie, claiming he was "saving it for later."

Perhaps it was the inconsistencies that arose in the witnesses and forensic evidence in Barnes' case after he attempted an appeal that prompted his request. Barnes wished for "justice, equality, and world peace" as his last meal.

Timothy McVeigh, the man behind the Oklahoma City bombing, requested two pints of mint chocolate chip ice cream as his final meal before his execution by lethal injection.

John Wayne Gacy, murderer of over 33 people (mainly young men), requested this fried feast consisting of a dozen fried shrimp, original recipe KFC chicken, fries, and a pound strawberries.

His final meal consisted of what would be a rather expensive seafood dinner, with a whole lobster tail, a half a pound of fried shrimp, and 6 oz. of fried clams, topped off with a half loaf of garlic bread.

He may have been dreaming of martinis, or just had a small appetite on the eve of his execution, but murderer Victor Feguer requested only a single olive with the pit still inside. After he died, they found the pit inside his pocket.

Ronnie Lee Gardner was placed on death row for robbery, burglary and two counts of murder, and ordered to be put to death by firing squad. His request is essentially a "surf and turf" dinner with dessert, but the weirdest part of his last meal is that he asked to eat it while watching Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy.
