Celiac Supplies of Brisbane, Australia has zero respect for window shoppers. Hence their decision to place a sign explaining their "just looking fee" in a store window. Brisbane's "first & only gluten-free grocery store" has been charging a $5 fee for browsing since the beginning of February that is deducted when a purchase is made. This move was executed to keep customers from observing items in living color, then buying them online.

So why would customers subject themselves to this rather obnoxious charge? Celiac claims that it has products that are "not available anywhere else." This will probably scare window shoppers away—right along with the rest of their customers.

In honor of this brilliant business decision, take a stroll down memory lane and stop in 2005.
