Era: 1940s-1950s
Known For: Covered the September 1944 Harper's Bazaar (her first ever modeling gig), Face of Revlon

Leigh was one of the earliest fashion icons, and widely considered the "first supermodel." She was too old and short for a model, but her eyebrows are what sold her to multiple magazines, including her first cover shot for Harper's Bazaar. She lied about her age, saying she was 19 instead of 27, didn't mention her two children, and became one of the most recognizable models in the world.
