A pre-emptive posting from a gaming retailer indicates that EA will be releasing a sequel to Need for Speed: Most Wanted later this year. Need for Speed has become an annual franchise for EA, though each entry features a different take on the game's core racing gameplay.
The leak comes from South African game retailer BT Games, which revealed the possible existence of Dead Space 3 in a similar manner yesterday. On top of that, if the information holds up this will be the third EA game revealed ahead of schedule in the past two weeks.
Rumor has it that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit developer Criterion is working on the next Need for Speed title, but that doesn't necessarily rule Most Wanted 2 out. The original Most Wanted was developed by EA Canada back in 2005.
