DC Universe won’t be the only free-to-play superhero MMORPG as Paragon Studios has announced that they are setting City of Heroes: Freedom free. Paragon is currently in the process of activating old and inactive accounts and converting them all to Premium memberships. This process is the next step in the change over to City of Heroes: Freedom which was announced back in June.
Under the new setup, current subscribers will become VIP members / players and receive early access to updates and DLC while free players, known as Premium Players, will have access to the game without a monthly fee. According to the official announcement from the developers:
