The road and its trappings can play tricks on you, to the point where the grass on the other side begins to resemble fresh starts and the upside of traditional lifestyle choices. Since I've been dealing with those thoughts daily for as long as I have, I've consistently come to realize that if a real job outside the arts or teaching was to sneak up on me in a dark alley, I'd probably stab it in the face and destroy the evidence. I love my "job". Sometimes it kicks my ass. Sometimes I want to sell my records and be "normal". But, the next dance hall usually sticks a fork in that bullshit quick fast. Salute to all my road warriors out there. Live free and be nice to people along the way. It wont cost you one thin dime.
