The past few days have taught us that America is super excellent with spending money wisely and paying our debts on time. Bearing that in mind, now there is a way to spend money on things you can’t afford even easier.
Jumio, a company that allows you to sign up to accept credit cards online, has unveiled a new system, Netswipe, which turns your webcam into a credit card swiper. After verifying details through a live video stream, users then physically enter the CVV digits with a tamperproof interface controlled by a mouse. In doing so, Netswipe supposedly reduces theft of credit card numbers from insecure forms and website spoofing. You’re still screwed if someone physically jacks your card.
