3. The Adventures of Batman & Robin (SNES/Genesis/Sega CD, 1994)

Batman: The Animated Series won Emmys. Emmys! And it was only fitting that it became a game that matched the excellence of the show. What made the game stellar was the fact that no two levels were alike. Sure, you beat up thugs until you got to the boss, but each level was like a missing scene from the show. From Batman fighting Joker on roller coasters to a trek through a museum, everything about the game was uniquely Batman and uniquely awesome. There was also a Genesis version, but it was completely different and it sucked. SNES third-party games were usually just better than Genesis games back in the day. And no, we couldn’t tell you why.
