12. Phalanx (SNES, 1992)
Complex Critique: One can see that a very fine use of pointillism has been applied to the spaceship, which is the only indicator that space or laser beams are involved in this game. Of course, this subtle nod to science fiction is offset by the inclusion of an old man with a banjo which points to overt Dada influences and would make even Hunter S. Thompson shrug his shoulders in bewilderment. Ceci n'est pas un game!
