All weekend, downtown Austin's resting heartbeat will sink extra low as the 18th Annual Austin Reggae Festival takes over, blowing positive vibes everywhere. 15 bands, including majors acts like Israel Vibration and Taj Weekes, are slated to play the main stage. There will also be a stage devoted exclusively to all things dub.

In addition to the music, the festival boasts food booths, and arts and crafts. Their website advertises the premium people watching you can do at the festival, which we're reading as "have a swell time watching the hella faded."

For the full schedule of events and the list of participating bands, check out the festival's website.
