To celebrate the opening of the Found in Translation exhibition, the Guggenheim will be leaving the lights on for a few extra hours Tuesday. Fixed around the work of artists who came of age within the last 15 years, Found in Translation features work from Patty Chang, Omer Fast, Sharon Hayes, Steve McQueen, Lisa Oppenheim, Sharif Waked, and others. Film geeks should recognize McQueen as the director of 2009's Hunger, one of the best films of the last decade.
The Guggenheim's curator, Nat Trotman, has prepared a special playlist for the three hour block of time, but there's no word on what will be included. We're crossing our fingers for some Odd Future. That would be a juxtaposition worth the entire price of admission.
