Admittedly, NERF's current N-Strike line-up of guns is dope. Most of them are automatic-firing and will ensure victory in any NERF war you find yourself in. But there's a problem. Anyone can buy one. If you'd like a little exclusivity in your arsenal, we suggest you build your own. Simon, a New-Zealand-based builder of all things cool, can show you.

On his blog, Asciimation, Simon shows you how to build a sleeker, cooler, and more powerful NERF gun. We gotta warn you, though—you're going to need more than some wood and rubber bands. His NERF pistol is made from 32mm ID PVC pipe, some aluminium extrusion and aluminium pipe, wood, and various pieces of metal and plastic—as well as a spring found in an AR-15. It's the real deal. Maybe a bit too real for us. But if you want to learn how to do it, peep the above video and head on over to his Asciimation blog.
