Here's the thing about dark fantasy RPGs: there are lots of hot women. And brawny dudes. And the two will invariably hook up, in many permutations. This happened in DA:O, and it happens in DAII, but Bioware knows now (thanks to Mass Effect 2) that hotness doesn't come from polygons mashing together onscreen, but from the suggestion of polygons mashing together. As it went with Shepard and Lawson, so may it go with Hawke and that swordfighting wench with the impressive twins.
