Spotify's Most Popular Tracks of 2012

Spotify just released a year in review and it reveals the most popular songs of the year on the international streaming service. The top tracks in the United States are as follows:

1. Gotye – “Somebody That I Used To Know”

2. Fun. ft. Janelle Monae – “We Are Young”

3. Carly Rae Jepsen – “Call Me Maybe”

4. Fun. “Some Nights”

5. Maroon 5 – “Payphone”

6. One Direction – “What Makes You Beautiful”

7. Flo Rida ft. Sia – “Wild Ones”

8. M83 – “Midnight City”

9. The Wanted – “Glad You Came”

10. Nicki Minaj – “Starships”

There’s nothing too surprising here, except maybe that M83 is on here and Adele isn’t. A few other fun facts:

1. Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” is in the top 10 of every country except Germany and New Zealand.

2. Norway’s most popular song is  “Some Die Young” by Swedish singer, Laleh. The track that appears on no other countries’ lists (not even Sweden’s).

3.”Call Me Maybe” appears in the top 10 of every single country included.
