Everyone is talking very highly of Salem’s new song “Asia” from their upcoming album King Night, out 9/28. It combines the dark energy of Crystal Castles mixed with the muffled, compressed pounding of Sleigh Bells, but it’s absent of the catchiness of either. It’s cool, I guess, but I wouldn’t ever listen to it unless I was slowly torturing and murdering someone in the basement (so I’ll be listening to it about twice a week). Just kidding, I don’t really have a basement.
