On February 5, Showtime will air Spike Lee’s highly-anticipated documentary, Michael Jackson’s Journey From Motown To Off The Wall. The film will feature musicians and celebrities like Questlove, David Byrne, the Weeknd, Pharrell, Kobe Bryans, Lee Daniels, Misty Copeland, Mark Ronson, John Legend, and L.A. Reid speaking about how important Jackson’s Off The Wall album is to them personally, and to music in general. It will also showcase rare concert footage from the Off The Wall tour.
Today, the network shared a trailer for the special, which includes musicians The Weeknd, Questlove, and David Byrne speaking about the influential album. The preview is only a minute and a half, but from just this alone, it’s already looking like essential viewing.
