If you’re not up on the original from Cloudeater and Wale, the Atlanta band had Wale spit some fury bars on their percussive, fuzzy “Faces” this summer. We’ve already introduced you to the duo known as Silent Dust, and they bring this one more into their zone, which occupies a spaced-out rhythm. They replace the fuzziness of the original with more intergalactic bleeps and a hypnotic bassline. They keep the vocals pretty much untouched, and it actually sounds like Wale should be linking with SD for more shit in the future, especially if he’s talking about “modifying the genre.”
