The video for emergent Irish singer Talos’ gorgeous single “Tethered Bones” adds a chilling new dimension to his debut. Depicting the relationship between, seemingly, an abusive father and his daughter, “Tethered Bones” combines images of a hunt, tense domestic scenes, and a touch of surreal terror to form a short film that could just as easily stand on its own, reminiscent in its brief runtime of movies like affecting Danish drama The Hunt and French horror film Calvaire. Never distracting from the song itself, it’s the sort of video that weaves its way into the fabric of the music.
