Weekend Money have a knack for making music that reflects the sort of grimy fun you can have cruising the streets of New York City. In the video for new single “Yellow,” the duo and director Maya Margolina capture the chaos and action potential of the most amazing New York nights, with a bevy of beautiful women, overflowing alcohol, and a colorful cast of characters including local legends (Jimmy McMillan of “The Rent is Too Damn High!” fame, Dan Smith, legendary New York guitar teacher) and friends (Fat Tony, Hot Sugar, the ATL Twins, and, of course, Heems, among others). Weekend Money emcee Ne$$ and Heems get reckless over Baghdaddy’s bouncy, skeletal production (you can hear the wind cry “Lumidee” in the distance–no complaints here), completing the raucous puzzle.
