To bring visual life to electro-pop group Solomon Grey’s “Firechild,” the duo enlisted the help of vaunted TV show The Wire’s Andre Royo to have a one man meltdown that turns into a sort of outburst epiphany, experiencing a sun-bathed awakening and freeing himself of the vestiges of his old life. It’s a fitting accompaniment to the rousing, 80s-inspired textures of Grey’s single, mirroring the song’s bittersweet sentiment and sound with a compact narrative and stellar one-man-show from Royo.
