Video: Richie.Quake - "Brooklyn Looking Back"

A few days after our introduction to Brooklyn indie pop artist Richie.Quake, the video for the eclectic singer/producer’s “Brooklyn Looking Back” returns us to one of last week’s most pleasant surprises.

“Brooklyn Looking Back” follows Quake and a kaleidoscopic female companion on a suitably lo-fi journey through the streets of New York–the video looks like the sort of experiment you might see on late night public access television, of the moment in its playful, Tumblr-chic visual effects, but decidedly throwback in overall vibe. It’s an appropriate companion piece to Quake’s charmingly rough-around-the-edges pop stew, an ultra low budget piece that manages to capture the song’s style and sound without missing a beat.
