For the first video from his recent NEW WAVE project, Chicago’s Ibn Inglor attaches a hallucinatory visual–complete with kaleidoscopic colors, blurred lights, and giant Ibn heads that swallow one another–to standout song “BLACK PRINT,” a blazing salvo against blogs and haphazard critics at large. It’s an imaginative attempt to bring Inglor’s anger to life, remaining personal even as it bathes the solo performer in wave after wave of effects. A fitting visual from a project that sees the young rapper exploring his broad ambitions.
