Sietta - "Let It Go"

None

Australian duo Sietta’s new single “Let It Go” pulls a pretty neat trick. The first minute and a half lures you into a beautiful lull, singer Caiti Baker’s vocals laid bare against gentle guitar plucking and sparse percussion.

If you’re cheating and looking at the Soundcloud, you might already know that something big is coming.

After that initial calm, “Let It Go” bursts into a quiet storm of driving percussion, multi-tracked vocals, densely, subtly layered synths. The package never becomes oppressively packed with sound, just full enough to feel like a small levy breaking, turning calm water into something more turbulent. Give “Let It Go” a listen below.
