Though “In Time” only marks the third release in Irish singer Talos’ public catalog, his initial steps paint the portrait of an artist capable of crafting gorgeous songs with an aching, clarified voice that cuts across sparse soundscapes. “In Time” eschews much of the electronic gauze of previous single “Tethered Bones” in favor of a more organic backdrop—equally effective in setting stage for Talos’ arresting vocal. It still feels as though he’s sorting his formula, but Talos continues to craft music pretty enough to make journey plenty enjoyable it as he aims his compass for the destination.
