Dublin-based vocalist/producer/multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Ng aka EDEN caught our attention (and Lorde's) with songs like "drugs" and "sex" back in 2016. Instead of forcing more content to capitalize on the buzz, the 21-year-old artist took 2017 to perfect his live show on stages and at festivals worldwide, but he's gearing up for a big 2018. EDEN's debut album vertigo is scheduled for a January 19 release on Astralwerks, and his single "Gold" kicks things off.
“I was a showing my friend a guitar and he tuned it to this weird tuning that I don’t even understand,” Ng recalls of the song. “One day I picked up the same guitar and it was still in that tuning, and the first thing I played ended up becoming the riff to that song.”
"Gold" showcases Ng's songwriting skills and forward-thinking arrangement choices, and it's an exciting look at an artist poised for a breakthrough year. In addition to dropping an album, EDEN will be taking his impressive show on the road in 2018. Hear "Gold" and see the dates below.
