A year ago this month, Closed Sessions opened a studio in a mansion in Austin, Texas. For four days straight they held 24-hour sessions with different artists from all over the nation with all sub-genres of hip-hop to collab, chill, and share stories. In those four days they recorded 10 songs and documented every moment. On the 15th of March they will be releasing a full album called Closed Sessions: ATX and a documentary of everything that went down featuring all the artists that took part.
They released their first official single “Theme Music” with Fashawn, Buff1, Scheme and DJ Babu of Dilated Peoples. They also leaked a track last month called “The Roadhouse” with CurT@!N$, GLC, Rakaa, and is produced by DJ Babu. Both tracks are below, “Theme Music” to purchase and “The Roadhouse” for download. If you are in the Austin, Texas area on March 17th, you should make your way down to Peckerheads on 6th Street. Closed Sessions will be hosting their release party for Closed Sessions: ATX. There will be performances by Closed Sessions alumni such as CurT@!N$, Outasight, Skyzoo, Rakaa and Babu of Dilated Peoples, CyHi Da Prynce, Blu as well as artists such as Stalley and Yelawolf.
