When Seramic introduced himself with “People Say” in January, the mysterious London artist told us, “I just want the music to speak for itself for now.” Sticking to his word, he hasn’t released any more photos or information about himself, opting to share new music instead.
His second offering “Waiting” starts out with a similar soulful vibe as “People Say,” before a wonderful change-up around a minute in when crunchy synths and a funky bassline take things in a more lively (and danceable) direction. For the second time, he manages to blend a timeless soul aesthetic with modern influences in a fresh way, proving synths and finger snaps make an awesome combination.
