Pell All In A Day's Work

"Sometimes I can't find the words to express how upset I really am with a situation because I'm too busy finding new blessings around it," Pell tells P&P about his new single with BrandUn DeShay. "I feel like this song is beauty in the chaos. A spark of magic in the mundane."

On a song that tackles disappointment and trust issues stemming from a failed relationship, Pell somehow retains the same upbeat disposition that runs through his more lighthearted work (like "Basic Beach"). Over silky production from DeShay, he cracks, "I been searching for words that concur with the fact I'm salty" before accepting that "the worst is behind, I'll be fine as soon as I fall free."

In a move that many of us could learn from, Pell manages to squeeze beauty out of a less-than-ideal situation—flipping admitted saltiness into a blissful end-of-summer jam. Bravo. Listen below.
