On three excellent singles leading up to his first full-length project, Hues To Blame, 18-year-old Max Wonders has been exploring the idea of youth. After highlighting the carefree wonder of childhood on “Utopia,” “Grow Up” and “Kid Again,” Wonders takes a peek at the external world on the project’s fourth and final single and finds that it’s, well, gone kinda crazy.

“In the song I say, ‘She’s my novacane No doubt without here I’m gonna lose my mind.’ ‘She’ is my youth. The only thing keeping me sane,” he tells Consequence of Sound. “It makes me feel as though despite the utter madness of this place we call home, it makes/made us who we are, and we have to think about what that comes with.”

Listen to the synth-heavy, Tahmi-produced song below.
