Their first release since 2015’s Every Open Eye, CHVRCHES are back with “Warning Call,” a song written for the video game soundtrack of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. Full of shimmering synths and driving percussion, the song fits nicely within the aesthetic the Glasgow band has built for themselves (and should also sound pretty awesome as you jump around digital rooftops doing dope wall kicks and whatever else goes on in that game).
“The sound of Chvrches’ music resonates with the minimalist sci-fi dystopia of the Mirror’s Edge world,” band member Ian Cool explains. “We feel that the song complements the drama, emotion and empowering themes of Faith’s story.”
