The Vaccines - "Melody Calling"

None

The Vaccines‘ 2011 debut album was a razor sharp collection of brisk, youthful guitar-led indie-rock songs, while 2012’s Come of Age saw the maturing band embracing a broader, more powerful sound. “Melody Calling,” which was premiered by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 last night, sees the band experimenting with a much more laid-back sound, more appropriate for beachside cruising with the top down than belting out in a rainy, muddy British festival field. Whether that’s because it was recorded in LA, or whether it’s the new direction the band are going with their sound, this one should definitely be getting some spins this summer. Listen below.
