Back in September we discovered that Killer Mike and El-P would be releasing an expanded edition of their brilliant, gritty collaborative album as Run The Jewels. This European special edition, released via Big Dada, will feature new artwork and three new tracks: “Pew Pew” featuring DJ Q-Bert, a remix of “36” Chain” by Blue Sky Black Death, and this Dave Sitek remix.
Sitek is a masterful producer, so this remix was always going to work out well, but the TV On The Radio man really outdid himself here, adding cavernous drums and see-sawing synths that work perfectly with the two rapper’s aggressive styles. Listen below—the expanded edition is out January 13.
