Max Elto are a Swedish duo who recently signed to Atlantic imprint Big Beat Records, and “Backyard Animals” is the first single from their new EP, out January 14 of next year. The song itself is an icy, electronic-based, slow-burner that has touches of The xx’s elegant restraint mixed with that typical Scandinavian edge that we love so much, but the video is a truly cinematic, bombastic visual experience.
