Pharrell, it seems, is out to let everyone know that he can make any style of music. Producing a track for Kendrick Lamar and Alicia Keys with Hans Zimmer makes sense, but channeling his inner ’70s pop/soft-rock crooner on a track with Johnny Marr comes as a bit of a surprise. Nevertheless, Pharrell gives it his all, and although it’s probably not a track you’ll find yourself returning to often, it certainly isn’t terrible. Please don’t decide to make a whole album like this, though, Pharrell.
