Well this is really rather bloody fantastic. Seeing Kieran Hebden was on production duties initially piqued my interest, but really it’s Kathryn Bint’s fragile vocals and evocative lyrics that stand out. Unexpectedly, this is a straight up folk track, with no real hints of the electronic wizardry of Mr Hebden’s Four Tet moniker, but that is probably for the best, as much of this track’s charm is down to it’s simplicity and emotional rawness. “She Was Out In The Water” comes from One Little Plane’s forthcoming album Into The Trees, which is entirely produced by Mr Hebden and, if this taster is anything to go by, will be well worth our consideration.
