With Marika Hackman’s debut album, We Sleep At Last, out in February, the British singer has been steadily sharing songs along with ominous artwork of a still figure, which looks like a dead body. With titles like “Animal Fear,” “Drown,” and “Ophelia” (a character from Shakespeare’s Hamlet who drowns in a river), Hackman’s delicate guitar and sweet vocals are the vehicle for darker tales.
Listen to the slowly swelling “Ophelia” below, and look out for Marika’s debut album out February 16.
