Premiere: Laura Mvula - "You Work For Me"

We’ve been waiting to hear more from soulful voiced Laura Mvula ever since her 2013 debut album Sing To The Moon. She’s finally back with new music, but not from her next album, instead in the form of a song that’s being used in the trailers for Guy Ritchie’s new movie The Man From U.N.C.L.E., in theaters now.

“You Work For Me” was written by Tobias Jesso Jr., and Mvula’s incredible vocals give it a timeless feel, perfect for an action movie soundtrack, especially one based in the ’60s. Guy Ritchie, who chose the track himself, explains, “It’s not easy to find a new song which matches the power of the classic Nina Simone and Roberta Flack pieces in the film. Laura Mvula has done it with ‘You Work For Me.'”

Check out the full song above, as well as its feature in the trailer below. Here’s hoping this isn’t the last new music we’ll hear from Laura Mvula in 2015!
