Keaton Henson is a highly reclusive London-based songwriter, illustrator and poet who makes heartbreaking and painfully introspective music. Rather than using overwrought, metaphor filled lyrics, Keaton describes his feelings of lost-love and anxiety in an almost painfully honest way, as if he is just telling us how he feels and recording it. In “You Don’t Know How Lucky You Are” this takes the form of a series of questions presumably being asked to his ex about her new boyfriend, and the results are mesmerizing. Depressing, but mesmerizing.
It is only recently that Keaton actually let anyone else hear his music, and due to the good reaction, he is now working on his debut album Dear…, and has a limited run 7″ single “Metaphors” available to buy here now.
