We’ve been mesmerized by the crackly, lo-fi sounds of Johnny Lloyd’s 8-track recorded music since we first heard “Dead Beat and “Pilgrims,” from his Pilgrims EP (listen in full here). Johnny has already recorded his second EP, Happy Humans, with the title-track—a beautifully refined love song—having been shared alongside a video created with found-footage.
“Oldest Man On Earth” will also appear on the Happy Humans EP, and comes with the dim-lit video above. The song sees Lloyd continuing to do what he does so well, delivering unfussy, direct songwriting over simple acoustic guitar, in a way that doesn’t feel forced or overly nostalgic, just 100% honest.
