In terms of heartbroken, heartfelt lyricism, the comparison holds true, but where Lykke’s latest album has some big, bold, polished production, Boman’s new EP has a lo-fi feel throughout. The gentle background hiss (which makes it sound as if you’re listening to a tape) and soft acoustic production makes listening to the songs a truly intimate experience, one that transports you to a cabin in the woods somewhere, where you’re sat alone with nothing more than a flickering fire to keep you company.
