Manchester band WU LYF had a short but sweet run, releasing one album before breaking up at the end of 2012. The band members stayed busy after the breakup, with drummer Joe Manning, guitarist Evans Kati, and bassist Tom McClung forming Los Porcos. Now, McClung is stepping out on his own, sharing his glistening debut single “Selfish Man,” a bright piece of guitar pop with a mournful edge, with lyrics that seem to address WU LYF’s split. Whether or not they really do, this is a catchy, cutting debut single, which definitely has us interested in Francis Lung.
