The production on this one. Such a winner. Starting off with what could be a dark hip-hop beat, the introduction of tribal drums and rasping, Tricky-esque whispered vocals give no clues as to the more melodic, soulful chorus that comes out of nowhere, and just as quickly disappears, returning us to the pounding, menace that pervades the verses. Elliott Power is another genre-fusing Londoner to look out for, and the paranoid “SINK/SWIM” is as impressive an introduction to his work as one could hope for.
