Hanni El Khatib’s gritty, raucous garage rock is not what you’d usually expect cheerleaders to be dancing to, but that’s exactly what you get in his new video for “Pay No Mind,” from Khatib’s Dan Auerbach (of the Black Keys) produced album Head in the Dirt. The clip is exactly what you wouldn’t expect from a video for one of Khatib’s raw, powerful songs, and director Simon Cahn explained that “the idea for this video was to go for the opposite of rock ‘n’ roll imagery. I really wanted to do something unexpected for Hanni.” Watch the fun video above.
