Back at the beginning of the year, we introduced you to BC Kingdom, an L.A.-based duo making futuristic R&B. They had just been featured on Solange’s Saint Heron label compilation, and since then they have seen support from James Blake, who said their song “Lock Up” was like nothing else he had ever heard.
Today, they’re back with a new song, “COLOURS,” their best track yet, which comes in advance of an upcoming EP titled Buckwild Spirit, which will also feature Rome Fortune. On “COLOURS,” BC Kingdom come with dance music-influenced production that draws from the UK underground as well as forward-thinking American crews like Fade To Mind, and mix it with truly soulful vocals and a huge chorus.
