Tanlines – Mixed Emotions
Tanlines have crafted a brilliant album full of soaring singalong hooks and tropical vibes. Mixed Emotions is my pick of the bunch this week, and I’m sure it will be the soundtrack to many a barbecue, beach party and roadtrip this summer.

Daniel Rossen [of Grizzly Bear] – Silent Hour/Golden Mile EP
Daniel Rossen, of Grizzly Bear and Department of Eagles steps out on his own for this expansive yet personal indie-rock EP which centers around Rossen’s warm vocals and inventive guitar playing. With certain hints of The Beatles, this is a release any indie-rock lover should check out.

Sufjan Stevens, Son Lux and rapper Serengeti come together as s / s / s for this eccentric, inventive and experimental four track release which manages to cram numerous genres and ideas into its 15 minute running time.
