It's no secret that Kanye West's The Life of Pablo went through a lot of changes during its recording, with some of the changes coming after its initial release on Tidal. But what we didn't know was that Young Thug was on the original version of "Famous," which was given an early name of "Nina Chop." The "Nina Chop" track featuring Young Thug has now surfaced online, and it's quite different from what made the album.
Besides featuring a different version of that Taylor Swift line, the track also features Young Thug singing alongside the Nina Simone sample on the track. Thug also provides ad-libs for Kanye's parts on the track, as well as two verses. The first verse sounds like it could be a reference track more than anything, but his second verse has him coming in with a highly energetic delivery that's up there with some of his most interesting moments of the year.
The inclusion of Thug on the track is certainly a welcome addition, but Kanye's altered lyrics on this version are a bit questionable. A lot of it sounds like a reference track with Kanye slurring his words to maintain a flow, but what is there is interesting to say the least.
