London grime MC Novelist took a trip to New York City earlier this year, and it seems as if it wasn't just for a show or two. Meeting up with Fool's Gold producer Nick Hook, the two came together to record the energetic "Can't Tell Me Nothing." Making brilliant use of Novelist's impassioned flow, the track is one hell of a collaboration, with each artist bringing their a-game to the track.
To accompany the release of the fiery new track, the pair have released the Shane Annas-directed video. Speaking with Fader, Hook says of the collaboration, "It was crazy to see a person that's 19 years old without any sort of creative fear. To be able to build on that relationship is why I continue to do this. Even when it gets hard and you look around and wonder if anyone else is doing this for the same reasons you are. When you get that it gives you endless hope."
