Back in 2014, Alice Glass announced that she would be leaving Crystal Castles, with Edith Frances replacing her as lead vocalist and frontwoman. Glass was a huge part of Crystal Castles' live show, with her stage presence turning their shows into must-see events. Thankfully, despite the less than amicable split, Ethan Kath has found a suitable replacement in Edith Frances, who more than rises up to the task on their new album Amnesty (I).

While it doesn't seem as striking as II or III upon first listen, it's definitely as consistently strong. It doesn't quite reach the same heights, but it more than makes up for it by remaining an interesting listen from beginning to end. The last track on the album, "Their Kindness Is Charade," might be one of the prettiest songs to ever be released under the Crystal Castles name, and "Fleece" is easily among their most intense.
