Animal Collective have a new album, Painting With, due out on February 19 via Domino. Ahead of its impending release, the band have shared another cut from the album, “Lying in the Grass.” While not as bombastic as “FloriDada,” their latest still showcases what they’re capable of creating within their distinctive avant-pop sound. With those singular vocals intercut with some super inventive cuts, “Lying in the Grass” makes good use of AnCo’s ability to create experimental music within pop confines.
