This morning, Toro y Moi announced two August releases that fans can look forward to: a concert album, Live from Trona, and an accompanying film directed by Harry Israelson, who helmed Chaz’s 2015 music video for “Lilly.”

The tracklist (see below), which doubles as the setlist for the visual component, largely consists of songs lifted from the artist’s 2015 project What For? Recorded over the course of a day in California’s Mojave Desert, Moi will essentially recreate his album with new instruments. He’s calling it a “private concert” that anyone can purchase.

The description on Vimeo explains it best: “With no audience in attendance and a spectacular natural environment that feels otherworldly, the film pays homage to rock films of a previous era.”

You can preorder Live from Trona for $12.99 here. Two screenings will take place, one at New York’s House of Vans (August 2) and the other at Los Angeles’ Ace Hotel DTLA (August 4). Stay tuned for more news about the event as it nears.
